Community Guidelines

Ripper is for rating what rips and burying the rest. Be as harsh as you like about podcasts. Be decent to people.

Always fine

• Strong opinions, bad reviews, one-star takes and swearing.
• Disagreeing with someone's review, as long as it's about the podcast.
• Spoilers, if you turn on the spoiler cover when you post.

Never allowed

• Hate and harassment. No slurs, and no attacking or demeaning anyone for who they are: race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or anything else like it.
• Threats and encouraging harm. No threats of violence, and never telling someone to hurt or kill themselves.
• Sexual content involving anyone, and anything that sexualises minors, ever.
• Going after people. No targeting hosts, guests or other listeners with abuse, and no posting someone's private information.
• Spam and scams. No links, ads, follower schemes or posting the same thing over and over.
• Pretending to be someone else, including hosts and other Ripper members.
• Anything illegal.

How we keep it that way

• Filtering. Posts with slurs, threats or links can't be published. Reviews you keep to yourself (Only Me) are your private journal and aren't filtered.
• Reporting. Long-press any review, comment or reply, or use a profile's ••• menu, to report it. Reports are anonymous.
• Review within 24 hours. We review every report within 24 hours. If three people report the same review or comment, it's hidden from everyone but its author until we've looked at it.
• Blocking. Block anyone and you won't see each other anywhere on Ripper.
• Consequences. We remove content that breaks these rules. Serious or repeated breaks get an account banned from posting.
